After less than nine months of taking residence at The Point in West Bridgford, an industry leading IT solutions provider has taken further office space to accommodate its ever expanding team.
In a deal secured by property agents Innes England and FHP, Ikanos Consulting has now leased the entire second floor of The Point, totaling7,384 sq ft. The company moved in to the building in August last year after choosing to make West Bridgford its first permanent office location in the UK and now, because of rapid growth, the firm has taken additional space.
Acting for Bournston Developments, this is the fifth letting at The Point by Innes England and FHP and there are now only four units remaining.
The team at Ikanos develops software for electronic devices for clients across the globe, including Microsoft, Panasonic and Motorola Solutions. The company was set up by owner James Woodall four years ago. After moving to The Point less than a year ago with 11 members of staff, and following enormous growth over the last few months, the firm now employs 15 people and has ambitious plans to more than double its workforce in the next twelve months.
James says: “We are delighted that we are expanding our office at The Point. The last few months have been incredibly busy for us, and we now need to take on new staff in order to meet our customers’ demands. The nature of the technology industry means that our core customer base of global IT manufacturers is always striving for cutting edge services and technology. One of our biggest customers recorded revenue of 1.4 billion euros last year. So the firm is not dealing with small players and this is working to our advantage. We now have plans to further expand the business over the next twelve months.
“We have been really happy with The Point, and so there was no question we would stay here and take more space. It is a striking building which makes a real impression as soon as you see it, which is just the image we want to portray to our clients.”

The Point, situated close to Trent Bridge cricket ground, is a Grade A office development with suites available totaling 11,000 sq ft.
