Well known Bristol legal firm Wards Solicitors has taken a prominent new city centre office space at 35-38 High Street, following a deal brokered by Bruton Knowles’ Bristol office.
Acting on behalf of private clients, Bruton Knowles let the ground floor and basement of the former bank to Wards on the basis of a new five-year lease. The remainder of the property is let to Bikram Yoga Studio and Brook Street Recruitment.
Head of Bristol Agency at Bruton Knowles, Paul Williams said: “With office supply in the centre of Bristol in fairly short supply we had a number of parties interested in this unit, including a restaurant business, but in the end Wards were able to secure it in order to amalgamate some of their local offices into one unit.”
Wards Solicitors, who were established in the city more than 100 years ago, have their head office in nearby Broad Street and have gone from strength to strength in recent years.
They now have 11 local branch offices in High Street locations across the region, from Weston-super-Mare in the south to Keynsham in the east and Yate in the north.
“Located in the heart of the city centre close to Cabot Circus, 35-38 High Street is a large open plan office space with good window frontage on to the High Street.
“The basement still contains the strong-rooms which date back to when it was a bank. Wards were attracted by the flexible open plan layout and the prominent window frontage which provides an excellent opportunity to promote their business.”
