Unit Movements, an express 2 man home delivery firm, is to open a new distribution facility in Avonmouth, Bristol.
The company has taken a 22,419 sq ft warehouse at Unit 8, Access 18 in Avonmouth.
Cushman & Wakefield agreed the deal on behalf of Kent Foods Limited, with Russell Property Consultants acting as joint agents.
Established in 1997, Unit Movements is headquartered in Cardiff and will be using the warehouse to service the new IKEA home delivery contract it has won for the South West.
Construction of Unit 8 was completed in 2016, with Kent Foods moving into part of the building shortly afterwards. Access 18 is located between Avonmouth Way and Kings Weston Lane, which provide direct access to the M5 Junction 18.
Philip Cranstone, Associate in Cushman & Wakefield’s Logistics & Industrial team commented: “This is a rare high quality distribution unit in a highly accessible location, and we received a lot of interest in the building from a variety of occupiers.”
Ben Thomas from Unit Movements added: “We are delighted with the acquisition of this facility which will enable us to effectively service our clients from smart premises. We had a very tight timescale for occupation, and both we, the landlord and their representatives had to act very swiftly in order to reach this successful conclusion on time.”
