Squarestone Growth has secured three new deals at 133 Finnieston Street, Glasgow within just four weeks. Lambert Smith Hampton’s (‘LSH’) Glasgow office advised Squarestone Growth on all of the deals.
Existing tenant, global research organisation Clintec has signed a deal to expand its office by 65 per cent as well as re-gear existing leases, to take over a total of 11,000 sq ft in the building.
Additionally IDF Data Services, part of technology company IDG UK Limited, has taken a five-year lease on 1,015 sq ft on the second floor of the property, which is located in Glasgow’s West End.
Paul Coulter, Head of Asset Management at Squarestone Growth, commented: “We are delighted to have signed new deals with two global organisations. It is testament to the exceptionally high quality office space at 133 Finnieston that Clintec, IDF Data Services, and so many other businesses see it as the perfect environment to thrive.
“The demand for high quality space in the West End has never been higher and with nearly 90 per cent occupancy at the property, we fully expect that our remaining space, – around 6,500 sq ft – will be snapped up quickly either through existing tenants’ expansion or when more burgeoning businesses are introduced to the area by our agents”.
Squarestone Growth will be completing a comprehensive renovation of the 11-storey property’s reception in late summer.
Aasia Mohammad, Director of Business Space at Lambert Smith Hampton’s Glasgow office, said: “We are seeing high levels of demand for this kind of office space in Glasgow, particularly as companies look to grow their businesses and seek out flexible opportunities for expansion. These lettings are typical of the current demand for high-quality commercial space within the Finnieston area and we expect this trend to continue throughout the second half of 2017.”
Lambert Smith Hampton and Cushman and Wakefield are joint agents on the scheme. Clintec and IDF Data Services were unrepresented.
