Scores of new jobs could be on the way to Walsall in a joint venture by two property development companies.
Antringham Developments and Brackley Property Developments have joined forces on a 10 acre development site at Reedswood Park, near junction 10 of the M6, to build up to 200,000 sq ft of industrial and warehouse space in a range of units or one large building.
Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) and Johnson Fellows are agents appointed to market the site, which sits adjacent to Reedswood Retail Park, whose occupiers include Sainsbury’s Matalan, B&M Home, Pets At Home and Dunelm.
Matt Tilt, director of industrial agency at LSH Birmingham, said the development was an important employment site providing an excellent opportunity for urban-logistics, warehousing, manufacturing and trade counter businesses that want to relocate or expand.
“Reedswood Park is in an excellent location, just over one mile from the town centre and just a few minutes’ drive to junction 10 of the M6,” said Matt.
“It is a rare chance for a would-be occupier to commission a bespoke design to meet its specific demands with units available on either a leasehold or freehold basis.”
Mike Price, industrial partner at Johnson Fellows, said the development was the ideal location.
“This really is a first class location when you look at the road links and the access to skilled workers, and I am confident that the development will appeal to a wide range of businesses. We will be working closely with the developers and Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council throughout the planning and development process to secure local, regional, and national occupiers.”
