A leading Wrexham recruitment company has made two key appointments in response to growing employment opportunities across North Wales.
Acorn, one of the UK’s leading specialist recruitment agencies, has promoted Victoria Huxley to North Wales Recruitment Manager in recognition of the success she has had as Wrexham Team Manager. Victoria, who has been with Acorn for four years, will oversee temporary recruitment throughout the region, supporting the Wrexham and Flint branches to provide a specialist recruitment service to businesses throughout North Wales.
Victoria specialises in manufacturing and industrial and is keen to build on her expertise in these sectors. Subsequently, Victoria has already made a strategic appointment, welcoming Christopher Johnson as a recruitment consultant at the Wrexham branch. Christopher is an expert in warehouse and logistics recruitment and will help grow these sectors as well as supporting new business clients within the commercial and technical industries.
As well as growing the Wrexham team, Victoria is keen to add staff at the Flint branch and is currently recruiting for an Account Manager and a Recruitment Consultant.
Speaking about her plans for the North Wales team, Victoria said: “We are all very excited about employment prospects in the area and I hope that by adding to our team we will be in a perfect position to help local businesses with their recruitment growth plans.
“There is a lot going on throughout the area and every day we’re seeing increases in roles like skilled machinists and assemblers as well as fork lift truck drivers, both reach & sideloader. In response to the increasing demand companies are becoming more competitive with their pay grades, which allows further career prospects for people in the area.”
Christian Ash, Acorn’s North Regional Manager added: “Since joining Acorn, Victoria has gone from strength-to-strength and this promotion is testament to all that she has achieved in her time with us.
“There are some great opportunities in North Wales at the moment and by building the Wrexham and Flint teams, Victoria will be in a perfect position to ensure job seekers and companies benefit from her service.”
