The inventors of the vacuum splint have established their company’s UK base in Devizes.
Alder King acted on behalf of landlord Program Systems Limited to let Unit 2 Glenmore Business Centre, Hopton Park, Devizes to Oped UK Ltd. Oped UK Ltd took the 1,604 sq ft unit on a new five year lease, off an annual quoting rent of £11,500.
Oped UK Ltd specialise in orthopaedic rehabilitation products. The company’s founders, Professor Peter Habermeyer and Andreas Hassler, invented the vacuum split, which is now the company’s flagship product. It is used to treat a range of injuries, including those which used to be treated by a plaster cast.
Alison Williams, senior surveyor at Alder King said: “Oped UK Ltd supply a range of vacuum products to medical organisations across the UK. We were delighted that they chose Hopton Park as their UK base. Hopton Park is a popular industrial estate on the north eastern edge of Devizes ideally situated to service Wiltshire and the South West as well as providing a range of modern industrial and warehouse premises.”
