Cushman & Wakefield has set up a new Serviced Office Advisory business to cement and further enhance its position as market leader in this fast-growing sector.
To ensure it retains its leading position as an occupier advisor, the firm has taken on a new Partner, Amy Emery, to lead the team.
Amy joins from DeVono Cresa where she managed its serviced office division and set up a bespoke platform to access serviced offices throughout the UK.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Serviced Office business will advise occupiers of any size that require flexible lease terms. The business will also provide strategic advice to serviced office providers. Clients already include two of the fastest-growing and most innovative serviced office providers, WeWork and The Office Group.
Amy Emery, Head of Serviced Office Advisory, said: “The key to successfully providing serviced offices is to fully understand the business you are advising. This has never been more relevant than now with the rapid increase in start-ups and tech companies that might begin operating with just a couple of entrepreneurs but grow to have 80-100 employees within their first year.
“I’m looking forward to advising clients about their property strategies whatever their size and being able to react immediately to their changing requirements to help them succeed.”
Ben Cullen, Head of Occupier Representation – London Markets, said: “What occupiers want from office space continues to evolve. We are seeing more and more businesses from small start-ups to large corporates attracted to the flexibility and simplicity provided by serviced offices and co-working spaces.
“A dedicated Serviced Office Advisory business will be a great asset to our clients and a significant addition to Cushman & Wakefield’s occupier services. Amy is a leading advisor in this sector and we are delighted she has joined us to lead this new team.”
