A brand new indoor trampoline park has opened on the Enterprise Park in Swansea with Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) helping to smooth the path to new, fit-for-purpose premises.
Go Air has refurbished a 22,000 sq ft unit at 4-5 Samlet Road, formerly occupied by builders’ merchants Selco, and opened its doors to the public last Friday (26 May).
National commercial property consultants LSH attracted the new tenant and negotiated the terms of the deal on behalf of the building’s owner, a private investor. Go Air has committed to a 10-year lease at a rent of £90,000 per annum.
The new Go Air facility is on Samlet Trade Park, a prime roadside trade counter development of six warehouse style properties.
“We’re confident Go Air will thrive in its new premises as Samlet Park is secure, well-established and ideally located both strategically and logistically,” explains LSH director, Jason Thorne.
“As managing agents for the trade park, we are delighted that LSH was able to streamline the whole process for both landlord and tenant. We succeeded in recouping monies from the previous tenant, and on our advice, the landlord invested in upgrading the common areas of the park to not only satisfy Go Air’s needs but to the benefit all tenants.”
The refurbishments, which were delivered by LSH’s Building Consultancy team, included improving the scale and visibility of tenant signage; updating the roof, brickwork and cladding; upgrading mechanical and electrical installations, as well as installing fire doors and roller shutters and expanding the car parking provision.
“We’re excited about our new base in Swansea. The combination of a superb location, which is easily accessible to both the city and the M4, along with a high-quality building and trade park will give us the platform we need for success,” says Go Air founder Jez James.
“I set up Go Air in 2014 as I was inspired by the popularity of trampoline arenas in the States and how they mix sport with fun and fitness within a safe, family-friendly, all-weather environment.
“The concept has definitely taken off so to speak and we’re excited about having brought our second trampoline park to Wales given Cardiff was our first ever centre and remains the biggest trampoline park in the capital. We also have a park in Manchester with plans to open more as part of a much wider expansion strategy over the coming years.”
