Harris Lamb has let a Digbeth industrial unit to a hair and beauty product manufacturer on a five-year lease.
Decon Co Ltd has taken on 66 Rea Street South, a modern 25,400 sq ft warehouse, as a national storage and distribution centre.
Tom Morley, of Harris Lamb’s Agency team, said: “This was an attractive opportunity for the business due to its close proximity to Birmingham City Centre and easy access to the M6, making it an ideal storage and distribution hub.
“A well presented, open-plan warehouse with an extensive mezzanine floor and benefitting from refurbished two-storey offices, the property is fitted out to a high specification and also has a comprehensive security system and monitored CCTV.
“Industrial stock of this level remains in short supply within the region and further to significant levels of interest from potential occupiers, we were able to negotiate a five-year lease at the site with Decon Co Ltd, at a rent of £85,000 per year.
“Opportunities of this kind do not remain on the market very long, and the deal was completed quickly, with the business taking occupation within a couple of weeks of their first viewing,” he said.
