CEG has expanded its North West foothold following an off-market acquisition of The Beacons at Birchwood, Warrington for an undisclosed sum.
Located on Warrington Road, The Beacons comprises three headquarter-style office buildings totalling circa 28,000 sq ft. The announcement follows on from the company’s recent acquisition of Appleton House and Atlantic House, which are also situated in Birchwood.
ABS Consulting is based out of one of the three self-contained buildings, occupying circa 12,000 sq ft with six years remaining on the lease. Taylor Wimpey has recently served notice and vacated its 9,400 sq ft office. The third building, totalling 6,500 sq ft, is due to be refurbished imminently to provide high quality Grade ‘A’ accommodation to satisfy occupational demand in the market.
Speaking about the company’s expanding portfolio, CEG’s Acquisitions Manager Jenna McIntyre commented: “Altrincham Business Park, Appleton & Atlantic House and The Beacons, all of which we have acquired in the last six months, represent high quality, well-located schemes that need an investment strategy in place to maximise their value. The Beacons has all the hallmarks of a solid investment opportunity and perfectly complements our existing 2.5 million sq ft portfolio in the region.”
The properties are available to let through sole letting agent JLL.
