Regeneration specialist, St. Modwen, will commence the next phase of development at Crosby Village Centre in June.
The announcement follows the recent appointment of Caddick Construction to deliver a range of new and refurbished buildings in the centre.
The project will include the full-scale refurbishment of the existing Glenn Buildings North and Glenn Buildings South as well as the replacement of number 10 Moor Lane with a two-storey retail and leisure unit. The units are due to complete before Christmas 2017.
The scheme will deliver units ranging from 645 sq ft – 9,770 sq ft.
David Nuttall, Development Manager, St. Modwen said: “We acquired the assets in Crosby just over 12 months ago and it was clear that the Village Centre needed a lift. We are confident the new scheme will breathe new life into the traditional high street, preserving and modernising the attractive 1930s buildings while delivering new accommodation suitable for modern retailers.
“Since acquiring Crosby Village Centre, we have agreed a new 10 year lease with Home Bargains, we have also refurbished around 4,500 sq ft of office space, which is now 70 % let let. We are extremely excited about progressing with this next phase.”
Lambert Smith Hampton are the sole letting agents.
The project team includes: RPS (Project Manager and Employer’s Agent), JM Architects, NJL Planning, Hopkins Coates (M&E Consultants), Rodgers Leak (Engineers).
