Scotland’s largest business park, Hillington Park, has a new commercial director following the appointment of commercial property specialist, Grant Edmondson.
A specialist in the business space sector, Grant returns to Hillington Park having previously held the position of Estate Director for 13 years with the previous majority owner of the Park. In the intervening period he held property development and asset management positions with property companies in Scotland and Yorkshire.
Hillington Park is majority owned by a joint venture between Oaktree Capital Management and Patrizia UK Ltd.
As Commercial Director, Grant will oversee the Park’s asset management activity and the development and infrastructure plans which, in the last year, has seen major investment arrive with international brands including Jaguar, Harley-Davidson, Ducati and Volvo.
His role will also include working closely with Hillington Park’s stakeholders including Renfrewshire Council and Glasgow City Council.
Grant Edmondson said: “It is a very exciting time to be returning to Hillington Park, a place I know very well. There is a lot of new development work underway, a significant, rolling modernisation programme is being delivered and we are seeing businesses located here expanding and new occupiers moving in. We have a wide spread of sectors based here including logistics and distribution, renewables, manufacturing, light engineering, technology, retail and business services which adds to its vibrancy and business community.
“Hillington Park has always been recognised as being in a prime business location in the heart of the busiest part of Scotland and I’m looking forward to working with my new colleagues to keep that reputation and continuing to have a strong impact on the local economy.”
Hillington Park is located to the west of Glasgow and just two miles from Glasgow Airport. It is the base for more than 500 businesses employing around 8000 people including Balfour Beatty, BMI Healthcare National Enquiry Centre, DB Schenker, Arnold Clark, West Coast-Harley and Ducati. Later this year Jaguar and Volvo will also open new premises.
