The comprehensive refurbishment of Freshford House in central Bristol is paying dividends with the arrival of a new tenant there.
The 30,120 sq ft three-storey multi-let office building, which sits at the junction of Redcliffe Way and Redcliff Street, has been completely revamped following the vacation of the building by Ofsted. The building now provides large flexible open-plan floor plates with excellent natural light. It is inter-connected to WCA House, which was built in the 1800s.
Property consultants Knight Frank and Cushman & Wakefield have been jointly appointed by landlord AEW Ltd to market the buildings and have enjoyed success by securing another new tenant.
Connected entertainment technology provider Audiogum has signed a five year lease on the ground floor south wing of Freshford House, comprising 3,957 sq ft.
Andy Smith of Knight Frank said: “This is a major overhaul by the owners, including new reception, lifts, toilets, shower facilities, ceilings and lighting. The result is modern open-plan accommodation that is proving extremely attractive to companies seeking high-quality flexible and well-connected space.”
Andy Heath of Cushman & Wakefield added: “Freshford House is very well located – just a five minute walk to Bristol Temple Meads railway station and a couple of minutes from Queen Square and the Floating Harbour in the other direction.”
Mike Woodliffe of Williams Gunter Hardwick who advised Audiogum said: “We were given a brief to help Audiogum find new headquarter premises in the city centre that reflected the global nature of their business, would allow for an innovative working layout benefiting both staff and clients, and was easily accessible. Freshford House ticked all of those boxes and provided an environment that will support their future growth.”
