Acting on behalf of a pension fund client, property consultants Alder King have completed the freehold disposal of Unit 4C Linhay Business Park in Ashburton, Devon. The West Country-based Stonehaven Care Group acquired the edge of town office unit off a quoting price of £425,000.
The family-run company, which operates 10 care homes across Devon and Cornwall, will relocate from Buckfastleigh to Linhay Business Park next week.
The move was partly driven by the business park’s location just off the A38 trunk road, approximately half way between Plymouth and Exeter, giving good road access to the company’s network of care homes.
Linhay Business Park is an edge of town office campus development on the outskirts of Ashburton. The scheme totals some 70,000 sq ft of office and light industrial space and is home to occupiers including Devon & Cornwall Constabulary, Age Concern and Motorola.
Stonehaven’s new premises provide 4,265 sq ft (396 sq m) of modern air conditioned office accommodation within a courtyard development and come with 20 parking spaces.
Lee Southan, commercial agent at Alder King’s Exeter office, comments: “Linhay proved an excellent purchase for Stonehaven, offering them modern premises in a convenient location with good parking provision.”
