Colliers International has strengthened its Scottish Industrial and Logistics team with the appointment of Lewis Pentland, as associate director for East of Scotland.
Lewis will join Colliers’ Edinburgh office from GVA, where he managed a wide variety of industrial agency instructions on behalf of institutional landlords, developers and private individuals within the Edinburgh and East Scotland market.
Commenting on the appointment, Iain Davidson, head of Colliers International’s Industrial and Logistics team in Scotland, said: “The injection of fresh new talent, coupled with the considerable experience that Lewis brings, makes him the ideal candidate to drive us forward in the East of Scotland as we aim to consolidate our position as Scotland’s leading industrial and logistics team. Despite all the political uncertainty, the market remains robust across Scotland, and we have continued to be very busy.”
Last year, Colliers International’s Industrial and Logistics team transacted 1 in 3 of all Scottish Industrial deals and played a role in securing half of all Scottish deals involving more than 50,000 sq ft. Across the period, the firm advised on 1,925,057 sq ft of industrial and distribution sector transactions (West Scotland: 1,689,361 sq ft; East Scotland: 379,974 sq ft).
Len Rosso, head of Colliers International’s UK Industrial and Logistics team added: “Our commitment to clients and market know-how has ensured that our industrial team in Scotland remains a dominant presence and we are delighted that Lewis has agreed to join us.”
Lewis Pentland concluded: “This is an exciting time to be joining Colliers International and I’m looking forward to contributing to the success of the award-winning team. With healthy demand in the East of Scotland and many firms looking to gain a foothold in the region, I’m looking forward to driving business forward.”
