Contigo, the Birmingham-based developer of specialist software for the energy industry, has announced the creation of four new posts, following its most successful year to date.
The new appointments have a range of backgrounds and skills and include David Collins, who has joined as a test analyst; software developer John Moss; support analyst Sunny Tiwana; and marketing assistant James Weavin.
Contigo develops software for the energy industry, which assists in the trading of commodities such as coal, oil and natural gas, with its flagship enTrader suite of products having seen widespread uptake amongst the UK’s major energy providers.
Jon Yeomans, Director, Congito, said: “While Contigo is a relatively small company – and one that has come to the market relatively recently – we have seen tremendous success and I am genuinely delighted that we have been able to take on four new team members to meet the growing demand for our products.”
This year has been a particularly strong one for Contigo, which was established in 2006 by three energy industry professionals, with the company having developed a number of additions to its enTrader suite as well as having secured new contracts.
James Weavin, who graduated with a degree in Marketing from Aberystwyth University in 2006, said: “Since finishing my degree I’ve filled marketing roles at various organisations, but Contigo’s a really unique place to work. The energy and team spirit is really motivating and you feel valued as part of the organisation. There is plenty for me to learn about the products and the energy industry, but I’m definitely up for the challenge.”
Contigo was placed in the 2011 UK DeLoitte Technology Fast 50 – a list of the fastest-growing companies in the UK – in 28th place, having achieved a revenue growth of 1,019 per cent.
