PATRIZIA UK, the manager of Warrington’s leading business destination, Birchwood Park, has welcomed its newest occupant, WRK Training, a start-up business founded in 2016.
WRK Training, a leading provider of ISO management system standards and compliance training services, offers a ‘one-stop shop’ for all training needs, specialising in essential courses for the quality, health, safety and environmental (QHSE) sectors. The business will be based at Newton House, designed to support growing businesses and offering the flexibility to upscale or downsize.
Since launching last year, WRK Training has attracted a catalogue of major clients including Shell, United Utilities and Whistl.
The three founders of the business are already familiar with the many benefits of being located on Birchwood Park, having previously worked at another company on the park. At Newton House they will be in close proximity to the excellent onsite amenities at The Centre – the heart of the business community comprising meeting rooms, a restaurant, Starbucks, gym and communal workspaces.
Rachel Runcieman, Customer Relationship Manager at WRK Training, commented: “We viewed several office spaces and business parks in the Warrington area when setting up our own business, but none of them quite matched up to the fantastic facilities we’ve become accustomed to here at Birchwood Park.
“The location is perfect with easy access to rail and road links, and we’re part of a vibrant business community of over 165 organisations, which provides endless networking opportunities that will no doubt be invaluable to our growth. To top it all off, we’re right opposite the gym and have lovely views across the lake. I can’t fault Birchwood Park and I’d absolutely recommend it to any business looking to set up a new base.”
Martin O’Rourke, Commercial Director at Birchwood Park, added: “It’s always encouraging when current occupiers choose to relocate within the park rather than move elsewhere. With the highest number of start-ups in the North West here in Warrington, and the sixth highest in the country, we’ve worked hard to ensure we’re offering a truly nurturing environment for young businesses eyeing growth.
“We’ve seen many small organisations go from strength to strength at Newton House, and we look forward to seeing the success of WRK Training here.”
