Increasing activity on the popular Beeches Industrial Estate in Yate has resulted in a brace of deals for commercial property specialist Colliers International.
Tom Watkins from the Industrial and Logistics team in the firm’s Bristol office reported that E-Zec Medical has taken a new five-year lease at Unit 25, while B&Q has recently renewed its lease at Units 47-48 in to the next decade.
He said: “E-Zec Medical has just been awarded a new contract with the NHS which commences at the beginning of April, and therefore they needed space to service their fleet of private ambulances. It’s encouraging to see activity on the estate is still strong despite any uncertainty amongst occupiers as a result of Brexit.”
Beeches is one of the leading industrial and warehouse locations in the region, and has always been a popular estate for occupiers given its ease of access onto the M4/M5. DTZ Investors purchased the estate in 2015, and since then they have seen voids drop to a single unit and rental growth of £0.50 per sq ft across the estate.
Elliot Herbertson, the Asset Manager at DTZ Investors said: “We’ve now got a good tenant mix on the estate, and I’m pleased with the recent level of activity, particularly with the lease renewal to B&Q. We have seen strong interest in the final available space, Unit 11 – 14, which will complete a very successful run of deals on the estate.”
Colliers acted jointly with Jones Lang LaSalle as marketing agents on the estate.
