A large building at the heart of Exeter’s largest employment estate has been let by Stratton Creber Commercial.
The premises, at the key junction of Trusham Road and Alphinbrook Road, were formerly occupied by Multifoil, who relocated to larger premises on the estate in January. The 25,000 sq ft building sits on a site of an acre, and is in one of the most prominent positions on the estate. Neighbouring occupiers include Brandon Tool Hire, Calor Gas, Unipart, Porcelanosa and Hendy Honda.
The site was brought to the market last autumn, after the previous tenant announced that it was vacating after around 25 years on the site. Terms were agreed in January with HSS Hire Services, who were represented by Savills. HSS have taken a new 10-year lease off an asking rent of £97,500 per annum.
Jonathan Ling of Stratton Creber Commercial, acting for the landlord, comments: “This is a good news story, with the former tenant relocating to larger premises on the estate and the new tenant, HSS, also upsizing. For the landlord, the prompt deal means that the site was untenanted for only two months, and the new tenant now plans to invest in the property before relocating their business to the site.”
