Construction recruitment specialist Setsquare Recruitment has relocated to new offices at Tangier Central, Taunton’s refurbished, contemporary office complex, as the company expands its team of consultants.
Setsquare Recruitment, part of nGAGE Specialist Recruitment, has signed a ten-year lease for 1,775 sq ft of space at Tangier Central following its relocation from The Crescent in Taunton. The move of Setsquare’s team to larger premises is aimed at accommodating the growing company, which is already looking for additional recruitment consultants as demand for services in the region increases. Agents for Tangier Central, Hatfield White and Williams Gunter Hardwick, have agreed the details of the lease with Setsquare, including a five-year rent review.
The two buildings that together comprise Tangier Central have been undergoing extensive modernisation in a £1.5m scheme that is releasing new office space ranging from 1,400 sq ft to 60,000 sq ft onto the market. Phase one of the scheme is complete and has delivered around 30,000 sq ft of space at the revitalised site.
Tangier Central aims to offer all the convenience of an out-of-town business park, including secure car parking for up to 200 vehicles, in a central location that is just a 15-minute walk from Taunton railway station, and a 10-minute drive from Junction 25 on the M5.
UNISON’s South West regional office has also recently confirmed that it will be relocating to Tangier Central from its current location in Taunton. UNISION will take 3,840 sq ft on a ten-year lease.
David Trotman, Managing Director at Setsquare Recruitment, commented: “Our business was founded in Taunton originally so it makes perfect sense for us to retain our roots in Somerset’s county town.
“Tangier Central is the ideal base for us to expand our business. As well as the space being of an exceptional high quality and spec, the complex is in a great location. We’re just a stone’s throw from Taunton’s town centre and an array of transport links, yet we’ve also the benefits of ample car parking and some great views across the River Tone and surrounding countryside. We have every confidence our staff and clients will enjoy being here.”
Nigel Hatfield, Director at Hatfield White, commented: “We are excited to welcome Setsquare to Tangier Central and provide an opportunity to support its growth. In recent years there has been a lack of choice locally for companies looking to expand. Tangier Central is helping to address this need by providing work space that offers the convenience of a central location (and car parking), along with pleasant, light filled offices.”
