Tuffin Ferraby Taylor (“TFT”), independent property and construction consultancy, has announced five spring promotions in Birmingham, the highest number since TFT opened in the West Midlands in 1982.
Chris Gibbons is promoted to Equity Partner. He joined TFT in 2011 and has worked on a number of high-profile acquisitions across the Midlands and further afield, most recently, supporting British Land and Oxford Properties on their sale of The Leadenhall Building in London.
Rohit Chauhan is promoted to Senior Associate. He joined in 2004 as a graduate and has supported growth in the Birmingham office specialising in lead consultant services for Capital & Regional, The Crown Estate and Legal & General Investment Management.
Carl Haynes is promoted to Senior Associate. He joined in 2015 as an Associate specialising in dilapidations and construction monitoring. Most recently, Carl has acted as clients’ agent and lead consultant on the development of a 150-unit retirement village near Stratford-upon-Avon for Helical Barr.
Dominic Boot is promoted to Associate. He joined in 2006 and has specialised in core building surveying services, specialising in Technical Due Diligence and contract administration. Dom is working closely with Managing Partner, Alan Pemberton, at Rushden Lakes, the new retail and leisure development in Northamptonshire.
Jon Denham is promoted to Associate. He joined TFT in 2003 and is currently working closely with Partner, James Bent, on rolling out building surveyor lead projects for major local developer, Clowes Group.
Alan Pemberton, Managing Partner, commenting on the Birmingham promotions, said:
“These five promotions in our Birmingham team are extremely well deserved. We continue to support an enviable range of clients across the Midlands. But, critically, we are able to deploy quickly supporting national and international investors who increasingly look to Birmingham where some of the most exciting city centre redevelopment in Europe is currently underway.
“TFT Birmingham continues to play a critical role in the firm’s overall growth. A personal pleasure for me as TFT’s first Birmingham-based managing partner, is to welcome Chris Gibbons as an Equity Partner. Chris joined TFT six years’ ago and his appointment is clear recognition of the respect his clients have for him and the results that have followed.”
