Innes England has been named Property Adviser of the Year in a prestigious industry competition, which means the firm has now collected a hat trick of awards in recent months.
The Midlands property consultancy was awarded the title in the Estates Gazette 2012 regional awards, fending off stiff opposition from regional and national agents operating in the East Midlands. The EG awards recognise the very best in the property industry from across the UK.
Acknowledgement from both Innes England clients and partners has led to the company making the shortlist every year since the competition was started in 2005 and this is the fourth time the firm has won the award. The online vote was open to anyone working in the UK property market to vote for their choice in a number of award categories.
This is the third award Innes England has won in recent months. The firm also collected the EGi Most Active Agent in the East Midlands award (for the fifth consecutive year) and the Midlands Business Insider’s Property Agent of the Year.
Managing director Robert Hartley said: “To be named Property Adviser of the Year is a real accolade and is testament to the hard work being done by the team at Innes England. This award is the third we have collected in the last few months, and is a reflection of the both the quality of work and quantity of deals we have carried out across our offices in Nottingham, Derby and Leicester.
”We have secured a series of high profile lettings and sales to support business in the East Midlands over the last 12 months and acquired or disposed of nearly 500,000 sq ft of offices alone last year.”
Notable deals carried out by the firm have included Derby College and Lloyds Register in Derby, the letting to Network Rail at Beeston Business Park in Nottingham, and, acting for developer Goodman, completing the 30,000 sq ft office letting in Leicester to global recruitment firm Hays.
Robert continues: “Innes England has continued to defy the downturn and we have sought to grow the business during the last 12 months. In 2011, we appointed high profile surveyor Peter McCrea as director in Derby and Ben Taylor was recruited as head of our retail agency team. In early 2012, we also promoted six members of staff across the business which means we can now provide a wider service offering to our customers. All of these things reflect our commitment to our ongoing growth, investment and development.”
