Speculative building, at St. Modwen’s £22 million Gateway 12 development in Gloucestershire, is forging ahead as steel frames go up on the next two commercial units on site this month.
Scheduled to complete in October 2017, the new units will provide potential occupiers with a choice of two detached premises, 39,000 and 41,000 sq ft in size, with flexible internal space to accommodate the needs of any warehousing or industrial operator. The new units follow on from the completed sales of the site’s first two 40,000 sq ft speculative buildings last year to kitchen firm, ProCook and home furnishing supplier, Warwick Fabrics.
Pete Davies, Senior Development Manager for St. Modwen in the South West says:
“Our Gateway 12 development, close to junction 12 of the M5, is one of our four key developments in Gloucestershire. We are accelerating speculative building in response to local demand for good quality commercial space, which reflects the existing under supply of this type of accommodation in the area. Discussions are already underway with interested parties and both units are available for purchase or rent.”
Gateway 12 is being delivered alongside the £150m mixed-use development at Littlecombe in Dursley, Quedgeley West (now complete) and Quedgeley East Business Parks located in close proximity to Waterwells Business Park at junction 12 of the M5. Collectively, these four sites comprise of around 200 acres and have the potential to attract in excess of 6,000 jobs to the area.
Any businesses interested in rent or purchase opportunities at Gateway 12 should contact St. Modwen’s agents Ash & Co or Alder King.
