Barker Storey Matthews has once again been identified as one of the UK’s most active agents in the East of England by commercial property research specialists EGi in its latest EG Deals Competition 2016 whose results were announced earlier this month (06 March).
This is the fourth year in succession that Barker Storey Matthews has been awarded the title of ‘East of England Overall Winner’. The competition is open to all agents, including national firms, who complete deals in Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk and it assesses the volume of deals – covering both sales and lettings – across the five main property sectors: office, industrial, retail, investment and leisure /hotels.
As well as the designation of the overall most active agent in the region, Barker Storey Matthews was also identified as the agency at the top of the commercial property pile of its regional peers for the number of deals in both the office and industrial sectors– as it was in the previous year’s competition (2015). In addition, Barker Storey Matthews was placed in the runner-up position (second position) for the number of deals completed in the retail sector.
Commenting on Barker Storey Matthews’ repeated success, Steve Hawkins, Managing Director, said: “Once again we are delighted to have won the most active agent award for the East of England. The award is a testament to the excellence of our experienced team of chartered surveyors and agents who have comprehensive knowledge of this region and enduring relationships with developers and investors.
“This year (2017) looks like being another busy year with active demand for commercial property at a continued strong level as Q1 ends and Q2 begins.”
