Abingdon Business Park announces a series of lettings following major regeneration and extensive building refurbishment.
Rockspring Property Investment Managers LLP (“Rockspring”), together with their joint venture partner XLB, have agreed a letting of Unit 5 Hitching Court comprising 3,001 sq ft of office accommodation to ACE Centre. The UK Charity has taken a 5-year lease at a rental of £17.25 per sq ft.
ACE Centre is a charity supporting people of all ages with communication difficulties. The business will move from Jericho Farm Barns in Cassington to occupy their new premises at Abingdon Business Park in May 2017 following a comprehensive fit-out.
Martin Fisher, Team Leader at ACE Centre explains: “As part of our contract with the NHS which covers the Thames Valley and Wessex as well as the Isle of White, our new premises at Abingdon Business Park provides us with better access to our client base in the South.”
Distribution specialists, United Parcel Service or UPS Ltd has taken a 10-year lease on industrial space at Unit 28 Blacklands Way, comprising 4,003 sq ft at a rental of £8.25 per sq ft which will be used for commercial vehicle maintenance, repair and storage.
As a result of continued business growth Gigaclear, the pure fibre ultrafast broadband provider, has taken a further 5,907 sq ft of office space at Windrush Court. Mike Surrey at Gigaclear plc explains: “It is a very exciting time for Gigaclear, we continue to grow our network including major contracts with connecting Devon and Somerset and Fastershire. The decision to base our headquarters at Abingdon Business Park was definitely the right one, as the expansion of our network has led to an increase in staff, and to be able to expand our HQ space without having to move is invaluable.”
