Retail and leisure property specialist EJ Hales has been appointed to lease sought after commercial space in a brand-new mixed use development, Bayscape at Cardiff Marina.
The riverside development, located at Cardiff Marina, will see 115 new apartments built on the doorstep of Cardiff Sports Village and on the banks of the River Ely, with Phase 1 due for completion in May 2018.
EJ Hales will act on behalf of the landlord, Bayscape Ltd, in leasing the three commercial units, including a 5,342 sq ft restaurant space.
The three commercial units will provide essential benefits and amenities to both residents, marina berth holders and the local community, while boasting waterside views.
Owen Cahill, associate partner at EJ Hales, said: “Bayscape offers a niche suite of commercial units which will complement the apartments to create a sense of community, and benefit residents and marina berth holders alike.
“The waterside setting provides a stunning new location for a bar or restaurant overlooking the River Ely, and we have already had interest from a coffee shop operator for one of the other units.
“We’re confident that this commercial space will be snapped up in no time.”
Christopher Odling-Smee, director of Bayscape said: “This is a south facing and vibrant location which benefits not only from the marina customer base, but also from the important juncture of the Pont-Y-Werin footbridge and the Bay Edge footpath. We are particularly keen to attract regional and locally based businesses to support our growing community on the International Sports Village.”
