Knight Frank’s Sheffield and Leeds’ based industrial team has retained its top spot as the most active in the commercial property sector in Yorkshire in 2016 – being involved in 111 transactions.
The team completed more deals than anyone else across the whole of Yorkshire to beat rivals Carter Towler, PPH Commercial, Commercial Property Partners, Fernie Greaves Limited and Michael Steel & Co into first place for the third year running in the national EGi Deals competition.
It confirmed Knight Frank’s commanding presence in the region, particularly in South Yorkshire, for industrial property.
Nationally Knight Frank transacted more than 7.5m sq ft of property in the second half of 2016 – climbing to second place in a national league table of industrial agents demonstrating the strength of the national industrial and logistics team.
Deals concluded by the Yorkshire team, headed up by Knight Frank partner Rebecca Schofield, include the letting of the former Carcraft facility at Sheffield Business Park to Motorpoint; the letting of 190,000 sq ft at Wakefield Eurohub (pictured) to Allied Glass; the pre-sale of a 65,000 sq ft warehouse and office development at the £15m Summit 24 Business Park at Lindley Moor in Huddersfield to leading UK spring suppliers Lesjofors Springs.
Rebecca Schofield said: “The team has been involved in a number of the key industrial property deals of the past 12 months and the judges highlighted that Knight Frank was unstoppable in industrial, particularly in South Yorkshire.
“With offices in Sheffield and Leeds, Knight Frank offers genuine Yorkshire coverage and to win this award for the third year running is a real coup for the Yorkshire team. It is testament to the team’s hard work and coverage of the region.
