Verdion leases 4.67million sq ft in 2016

Verdion, Europe’s specialist logistics developer and investor, leased a total of 4,678,562 sq ft (434,638 sq m) of high quality logistics space, across Europe, in 2016.

The notable transactions included: 1.12 million sq ft (104,000 sq m) let to Amazon in Werne, Germany for a new state-of-the-art e-commerce facility; a total of 1,315,600 sq ft (122,219 sq m) let to Amazon at Verdion’s £500 million iPort development in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, UK; a 614,000 sq ft (57,041 sq m) development deal for global dairy equipment manufacturer DeLaval in Hamburg, Germany and; a bespoke 290,635 sq ft (27,000 sq m) warehouse for BMW in Malmo Sweden.

In addition, Verdion leased a further 1,040,800 sq ft (96,960 sq m) at iPort to Fellowes, CEVA and Lidl. And in Berlin, the logistics specialist let just under 300,000 sq ft (27,870 sq m) of speculatively built warehouse space to Dachser, PUK Group and Bringmeister at its Verdion Airpark Berlin development, located near to the Berlin Brandenburg Airport in Germany.
