CBRE has announced the senior appointment of Jenny Smith, who will be joining the North West Asset Management team as Senior Director following the retirement of current head, John Lea.
After more than 33 years heading up the company’s North West Asset Management team, John Lea has retired from CBRE.
Jenny Smith has joined as John’s successor, based in Manchester and will also assume responsibility for a large Liverpool team. Jenny brings significant public and private sector client experience and expertise to the role, having previously worked with GVa, Bruntwood, Manchester Airport Group and most recently, NCP.
Jenny will be responsible for managing CBRE’s 25m sq ft of clients North West assets, including those for Patrizia, Merseyside Pension Fund, Harbert, HCA and Deka.
Commenting on the move, Jenny Smith said: “This is a great move and opportunity for me, managing some of the North West’s most prominent assets for a diverse range of forward looking clients. There is a great team in place and we will work together to further build the instruction base and add to our client portfolio, as well as CBRE’s objectives of managing the region’s most iconic properties.
“CBRE is known for managing The Manchester Arndale, Birchwood Park, Heywood Distribution Park, Royal Liver Building and Liverpool’s Kings Waterfront development,” continued Smith.
