Bromsgrove-based office fit-out company DP Designs has expanded into bigger premises in the town in a deal brokered by property agents John Truslove.
It has paid a significant six-figure sum to purchase 27A Harris Business Park in a move which will see a handful of new staff join the existing 13-strong team.
The group, with a £7 million turnover, also has an extensive list of local sub-contractors it uses.
DP Designs has refurbished the new headquarters itself – the facility extends to 4,361 sq ft.
John Truslove has also been appointed to market the company’s former premises at Millennium Court, Buntsford Park Road, which is available to rent.
Started in 2003, the business works across England & Wales.
Founder and managing director David Perry said: “Bromsgrove is where I have lived and grown up and, with its position at the heart of the motorway network, provides easy access around the country.
“Property costs are also a factor as we don’t need to be in an expensive high-profile location, while the area offers a good source of labour.
“This move into larger premises is part of us continuing to grow and expand.
With a wealth of experience in the interior fit out sector we have the capabilities to undertake a wide variety of projects ranging from simple refurbishments through to large scale complex developments.
“We provide a one stop shop for our clients, offering an interior design and specification service, on-site construction works and eventually through to hand over, delivering on time and within budget.”
Ian Parker, a director of John Truslove, said: “Hard-working local companies are at the core of the Bromsgrove-Redditch business axis.
“SMEs play a vital role in the local economy and it is fantastic to see the likes of DP Designs developing and adding jobs.”
The Harris Business Park unit was snapped up within three weeks of going on sale, further evidence, said Mr Parker, of the current buoyant commercial property market.
