Phase 2, which will be available for occupation towards the end of 2017, benefits from Use Classes 4, 5 and 6, with ancillary retail/trade counter consent. Bespoke design and build opportunities up to 1,858 sq m (20,000 sq ft) can also be accommodated on Phase 3.
West Edinburgh Business Park is situated on the south side of South Gyle Crescent, one of the principal arterial routes through South Gyle, to and from the City Centre and Sighthill Industrial Estate.
Duncan Tait of J. Smart & Co. (Contractors) PLC. stated: “We are delighted to welcome another tenant to West Edinburgh Business Park, attracted by the excellent transport links and proximity to Edinburgh Airport. We are also pleased to announce commencement of our Phase 2 development which will deliver further much needed modern industrial accommodation in Edinburgh.”
Niall Burns, Partner at Burns & Shaw, added “This latest letting and the level of interest we have in Phase 2 highlights the continuing demand from occupiers for modern well located units in and around Edinburgh”.
Bryce Stewart, Director of Industrial & Logistics at Colliers International, concluded: “The commitment from J. Smart & Co. to commence Phase 2 will be welcomed by the property market, as the level of stock is diminishing very quickly now with good quality accommodation thin on the ground.”
