Staff at a Lincoln firm of chartered surveyors recently celebrated a top award – which crowned an amazing six months which has seen the business expand to new premises and take on more staff.
Banks Long & Co, which is based in Westgate, beat off tough competition to win the coveted title Agent of the Year, in the first ever Lincolnshire Property and Construction Awards.
The glittering ceremony, which featured presenter and TV personality Charlie Luxton, was attended by more than 300 guests who warmly applauded Banks Long & Co’s success.
The 25-year-old firm employs 25 people and provides across-the-board services to clients locally, regionally and nationally.
Managing Director Tim Bradford said: “We are honoured and delighted to be the first firm to receive this new award. It really is the icing on the cake for us, coming after an extremely busy few months.
“Our growth led to us investing in a move to our own premises in Uphill Lincoln in November 2016 and a decision to take on more staff. We realise that our best asset is our people and we have recruited at both Associate Director and trainee level, encouraging everyone to work towards chartered (RICS) status.
“Our team provides a full range of services from the acquisition, sale and rental of property to valuations, building surveying services and consultancy expertise in respect of major developments or investment deals, and we have recently seen an influx of new and repeat business,” added Tim.
Banks Long & Co is playing a key role in a range of major Lincolnshire developments, including the ongoing expansion of the University of Lincoln, the regeneration of Lincoln’s Cornhill Quarter and transformational, high value projects along the city’s Brayford Waterfront.
As well as being heavily involved in projects in Lincoln and Lincolnshire and benefiting from the phenomenal growth seen in the city and county, the firm is increasingly finding its expertise in demand across the UK.
The Lincolnshire Property & Construction Awards were organised by the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry and aimed to showcase the county’s wide-ranging construction talent.
