Shopping centre owner intu is bringing two new brands and a bigger Next to intu Uxbridge.
Natwest is relocating its Uxbridge branch and Britain’s leading toy retailer Toys ‘R’ Us is opening a new store as they look to capitalise on the centre’s young and affluent catchment.
Next is also adding an additional 8,000 sq ft to its existing store so that the fashion and homeware chain can expand its offer at the retail destination in west London which serves a catchment population ranging from university students to high-earning professionals.
intu is reconfiguring 25,000 sq ft of space for Next, Toys ‘R’ Us will take a 5,750 sq ft unit and Natwest, 5,000 sq ft.
Rebecca Ryman, regional director of intu, said: “intu Uxbridge is already a major retail destination thanks to its 12 million customers that includes professionals from the nearby headquarters of a range of global giants such as Apple, Coca-Cola and Cadbury as well as staff and students of Brunel University.
“These new stores are the first of a number of new brands and exciting changes we’re introducing to the centre this year as our strategy to attract more customers from further afield and for longer continues.”
