Wells McFarlane, recently named the UK’s Best Property Consultancy by the International Property Awards, has relocated to larger premises in its home town of Lutterworth, Leicestershire.
The growing consultancy is now based in the Grade II listed Devonshire House, one of the most prestigious buildings in the town. A three storey, character building dating back to the early 19th Century, Devonshire House was originally a private residence but will now offer 3,165 sq ft of office accommodation for Wells McFarlane’s 12 strong team.
“Moving to the iconic Devonshire House, one of the oldest buildings in Lutterworth, will enable us to continue the expansion of the business,” commented director, Andrew McFarlane Holt. “Last year, we achieved unprecedented success, not only winning a major international award but also recording our best financial year to date. Our new premises gives us a significant platform to move forward; we have already commenced recruitment for two new chartered surveyors and one estate agent with a view to filling these vacancies by the summer.”
New to the team since relocation is practice manager, Amanda Lambert. With over 25 years’ managerial experience in the financial and education sectors, Amanda will oversee the day-to-day running of the office, HR and recruitment as well as assisting the directors with company planning.
Trevor Wells, director added: “We’re keen to build on the momentum of the past year and appoint experienced professionals like Amanda to become integral members of the team as the business develops. We’re making a significant investment in our personnel and our digital marketing strategy and are looking forward to the opportunities that 2017 will bring.”
Established since 2004, Wells McFarlane’s portfolio encompasses commercial and residential property, land agency, planning, development and professional services. In the last year, the consultancy has completed a record number of transactions. The land and professional services team secured one of the highest per acre prices in the area for the sale of land at Hill Top Farm, Appleby Magna and has also successfully been involved in the planning permission and sale of over 1,000 residential plots.
