Pick Everard is investing in its growth in the property, construction and infrastructure consultancy sector in the southwest with the opening of a new office.
The firm will open a Bristol office on Beaufort Office Park, in Almondsbury, forming closer links with its Cardiff office and creating a strong presence in the region.
Duncan Green, managing partner at Pick Everard, said: “Opening a new office near Bristol will not only consolidate our work in the region but also enable us to push forward growth across the south west of England.
“The move follows the recent opening of a new Pick Everard office in Birmingham, which is also supporting our growth strategy. When the office opens, there will be 10 to 15 staff members based there but we will be looking to increase this number as our work in the area grows, working in partnership with our established supply chain and clients in the south west region.
“Our new Bristol office will further support our work on the South West Consultants Framework and the recently secured £350m Scape Group National Built Environment Consultancy Services framework (BECS). This is a project delivered through Perfect Circle – a consortium comprising Pick Everard, Gleeds and AECOM. The office will further boost our resource offering and capabilities across the west of England, including the M4 corridor.”
Rod Burton, partner at Pick Everard, will be heading up the Bristol office. He said the firm has big aspirations for the area: “Our ambitions for the office are to further our offering in providing the full range of property consultancy services between our offices in Bristol and Cardiff. The Bristol office in particular will lead in architecture, having a strong design capability and team in place. However, the office from the outset will also have capability in quantity surveying, project management and building surveying.
“Ultimately, we have seen a lot of demand in the region for our services and as a result we are keen to have a base in Bristol to better serve our clients, provide investment in the area and create new jobs.”
Pick Everard has worked on key projects across the west of England in the last few years including its work on the City of Bristol College, delivering project management and quantity surveying. It also delivered all design services on the North Bristol Engineering Development, as well as the same services on the Bristol Technology and Engineering Academy.
The firm has a strong reputation across the public sector and has provided project management, quantity surveying and design services for Mendip District Council on the Mendip Hub council offices redevelopment in Shepton Mallet.
It is planned that the Bristol office will open on 20 March 2017.
