Hermes Investment Management, the £28.6 billion manager focused on delivering superior, sustainable, risk adjusted returns to its clients – responsibly, has signed GenesisCare at 69 Alma Road, Windsor.
69 Alma Road is a 19,936 sq ft sq ft office building just outside of Windsor’s centre. The building is located approximately 15 minutes’ walk from both of the town’s railway stations and has easy access to the M4.
GenesisCare will take the whole building along with 92 car parking spaces on a 20 year lease.
Stephen Ellis, Asset Manager, Hermes Investment Management, said:
“Our investment at Alma road in the last few years has opened it up as an attractive proposition to the occupier market. Being well-connected near the M4 and train stations, we are confident that GenesisCare will find it an ideal location.”
The company provides the highest levels of patient-focused care across a network of conveniently located, purpose-built cancer centres. GenesisCare in the UK launched their first pioneering radiotherapy treatment centre in 2009, as Cancer Partners UK. Today it’s the largest provider of radiotherapy services in Australia, Spain and the UK.
Dr Vincent Khoo, Chief Medical Officer of GenesisCare UK and Clinical Oncologist from The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust added:
“I am very pleased that GenesisCare are building their eleventh centre in Windsor. I see many patients who have to travel into London to obtain the latest technologies and this will soon no longer be necessary. Local patients will be able to access GenesisCare’s high quality radiotherapy techniques and diagnostics including MRI and CT, all from our new site at Alma Road. We are delighted with the light and spacious property and its location, which offers excellent road access and plenty of parking for our patients.”
Roddy Abram, Partner, Knight Frank National Offices team, said:
“We are delighted to have represented Hermes Investment Management in achieving a great letting at 69 Alma Road. Planning had been achieved to speculatively refurbish and extend the existing office building, however, a straight 20-year lease from a strong covenant was too attractive to pass up.”
Knight Frank represented Hermes Investment Management, Genesis Cancer Care UK Limited were represented by Altus Group.
