After 22 years at the helm, Michael Green, lead director for JLL’s Southampton office, stepped down from the role at the end of last year, and Emma Eaglestone was appointed to take up the position.
Emma was head of residential valuation across the south, a business line she successfully built up since 2000 and an important part of JLLs service offering. Emma joined JLL’s Southampton office 20 years ago as a graduate.
Emma said: “We have a really strong and dedicated team in Southampton and I’m looking forward to building on the fantastic work Michael has done leading and growing this business for more than 20 years. We are continuing to recruit new talent across all our business lines and plan significant further growth in 2017 and beyond.”
Michael said: “It has been a privilege to lead such a brilliant team, but after 22 happy years heading up the office, now feels like the right time to hand over the reins. Emma has all the qualities needed for this exciting role – energy, commitment and a huge breadth of experience.
“I will remain fully involved in the business focusing on business development and will continue to strengthen our development and consultancy services in the region.”
Emma is the first female UK head of office at JLL and is one of three female leads in the Southampton office. Nella Pang is head of the office agency team and Rebecca Newton leads the professional advisory team.
JLL works on a range of high profile developments in Southampton, Portsmouth, the Isle of Wight and surrounding areas. These include Royal Pier Waterfront – a £350million regeneration project that will integrate the waterfront with the city centre and the former Ministry of Defence site in Bordon in East Hampshire, part of which is being transformed into an Enterprise Park.
JLL in Southampton acts for investors, developers and occupiers across a range of services including commercial and industrial property, buildings and construction, planning, development affordable housing and residential valuation.
