Newport-based Centurion VAT Specialists have opened their first Bristol office, following a string of client wins in the south west of England.
After focussing attentions on building up brand awareness in the south west over the past twelve months, Centurion will now have a solid base to support from charities and property developers to housing associations and accountants.
The new office, in Aztec West, will also enable Centurion to work more closely with their strategic partners in the area, including the Association of Colleges and provide specialist advice and training for the education, housing association and charity sectors.
Director, Louise Gray, said: “Before starting Centurion, three of the team worked with the ‘Big Four’ in Bristol looking after clients across the region, which gave us a number of strong connections to build on.
“Our new clients have come to Centurion because of the high quality of VAT support we are able to deliver, without the costs associated with using the major accountancy firms. Having a base in Bristol will allow us to broaden our contact base further and become, as we have in Wales, a team of locally based VAT experts with the depth of VAT expertise rarely found outside of International consultancies.”
Centurion VAT Specialists is a boutique consultancy, made up solely of high level VAT consultants with expertise in various sectors including education, local authorities, government departments, charities and manufacturing.
Centurion VAT Specialists review the VAT practices within corporate, public sector and charitable bodies and was originally set up by the University of Wales, Newport, in 1998, in order to help the higher education sector handle the complexities of VAT.
In 2007 it became an owner managed consultancy and has since expanded its VAT service offering across the public and corporate sector in Wales, identifying ways in which VAT can be used to improve cash flow and create savings for businesses on a contingency fee basis.
