Clients of Hartnell Taylor Cook LLP have acquired the freehold interest in 49 Queens Road, Bristol, a vacant retail store located in this popular and established retail and leisure destination.
49 Queens Road is prominently positioned close to the junction of Queens Road and the Triangle and forms part of the established retail hub that serves the student, office and affluent residential area. Nearby retailers include Paperchase, Vinegar Hill, Ryman, Patisserie Valerie, Sweaty Betty and Sainsbury’s. The store provides a ground floor sales area of 1,228 sq ft with a basement and three upper floors.
The freehold interest has been purchased on behalf of a private investor who have retained Hartnell Taylor Cook LLP to market the leasehold interest.
Nic Rumble of acquiring agents, Hartnell Taylor Cook LLP, said: “49 Queens Road offered a unique opportunity to acquire the vacant freehold of a prime retail store which forms part of much larger block. The property’s location in a strong trading position with potential for a range of development options on the upper floors was a key aspect that appealed to our client.”
James Woodard of Hartnell Taylor Cook LLP’s retail agency team added: “there is substantial interest in the unit from traditional retailers and, following the growth of the immediate area as a leisure destination, from a number of restaurant operators who would join the likes of Bill’s, Wagamama, Wahaca, Byron Burger and Cau.”
The property has been sold by Knight Frank on behalf of The Trustees of 49 Queens Road.
