Anglo Holt Construction has announced the completion of a new company headquarters for the UK’s leading sports nutrition manufacturing company.
West Bromwich-based Anglo Holt was awarded the design and construction of the £3.4 million project at Woodingdean Business Park in Brighton by leading regeneration specialist St Modwen.
Brighton and Hove-based Reflex Nutrition, which had been operating from a number of local buildings, has relocated its headquarters to the new 37,500 sq ft production, office and storage facility.
Reflex Nutrition manufactures, sells and distributes a range of sports and health supplements both in the UK and 23 export markets. The company, which has a turnover of £7 million, was established in Brighton and Hove in 1996 and the new facility will allow for its further expansion.
Anglo Holt director Tony Wehby said: “We are pleased to announce the completion of this project – which has a BREEAM very good rating – working alongside St Modwen. The award of this contract clearly demonstrates that our expertise, experience and track record in successfully delivering projects on time and on budget is recognised and highly valued.
“We were working to a strict timetable because Reflex Nutrition was very keen to begin a new and exciting era in its growth. The company now has the perfect base from which to expand its business operations.”
Nick Kay, development director at St. Modwen, said: “The park’s success continues whether it be buyers for our bespoke industrial units or tenants signing up to take front door offices. We continue to attract new occupiers, confirming Woodingdean Business Park as one of the premier business locations in the area.”
James Phillips, managing director of Reflex Nutrition Ltd, said: “We’re extremely proud of the spectacular, new headquarters that St. Modwen has created for us at Woodingdean. St. Modwen and Anglo Holt delivered a building that’s just right for us and we now have the perfect premises to expand our business at the park while staying in our home town of Brighton and Hove.”
Reflex Nutrition and St. Modwen focused on developing sustainable and environmentally friendly proposals. Energy saving features such as windcatchers and sunpipes have been incorporated into the buildings, which also include the provision of a wind turbine to provide power for the site, with excess energy feeding into the National Grid.
In addition to the completion of Reflex Nutrition, St. Modwen has finished the speculative construction of six small industrial and warehouse units ranging in size from 1,356 sq ft to 2,648 sq ft. The first occupier, Future 1, which supplies broadband and wireless equipment, has already moved in to a 1,356 sq ft unit.
Anglo Holt provides a seamless and fully integrated design and construction service, specialising in the design and construction of industrial and commercial buildings for clients on a nationwide basis. Based in West Bromwich in the West Midlands, the company has an annual turnover in excess of £50 million and employs around 100 people.
Its objective is to guarantee to deliver quality, reliability and added value throughout the total process of design, construction, project management and cost management.
