The success story at speculative industrial development Apollo Park, in Yate on the outskirts of Bristol, has continued with the sale of a unit to Jackson Lift Group.
The sale of the 3,878 sq ft end of terrace unit by Chancerygate, the specialist industrial and logistics developer, follows the off-plan sale of the second phase of Apollo Park, which is currently under construction.
The Industrial & Logistics team in the Bristol office of Colliers International, jointly with JLL, represented Chancerygate in both sales, and also in the letting to elite performance company Saddleback of the two largest units in Phase One of Apollo Park, totalling around 39,000 sq ft.
Tim Davies, head of the Industrial and Logistics team at Colliers, said a high level of interest was anticipated in the remaining nine terraced units in Phase One of Apollo Park, which are available for sale or for rent.
“Apollo Park is one of the very few speculative industrial developments in recent years in the South West, and currently there is no new stock available in the Yate area and supply levels in the region are at an all-time low,” he said.
“The high specification of the units at this modern distribution facility, and the fact that they are available on a freehold and leasehold basis, means that they are likely to attract a wide range of businesses.
“Chancerygate’s decision to develop Apollo Park on a speculative basis at a time when other developers are seeking pre-let commitment has already been rewarded with the sale of all of Phase Two, totalling 60,000 sq ft, and the sale and rental of over half of Phase One of 43,000 sq ft.”
The remaining nine units at Apollo Park range in size from 3,500 sq ft to 5,500 sq ft, and can also be combined to create larger units. All are fitted to a shell specification and feature full height electric roller shutter doors, and have first floors for additional storage or fitting out as offices.
Apollo Park is located on a 6.5 acre site on the established Great Western Industrial Estate in Yate, and has good access to Junction 18/19 of the M4 motorway, and Junction 14/15 of the M5 motorway, as well as for access into central Bristol via the A432/ M32.
