Planning permission has been given to Wagtail Storage, part of the Langley Priory Estate in Diseworth, to more than double the amount of containers it offers its customers, which includes several small and medium sized businesses wanting inexpensive, fuss-free storage in the local area.
Wagtail Storage will soon offer an additional 60 newly reconditioned 150sqft metal storage containers, all of which are housed in a well-kept high-security compound protected by palisade fencing, CCTV and a key fob entry system, accessible seven days a week. Each storage box is available for £135 a month including VAT.
Tim Wagstaff, owner of Wagtail Storage, said, “We currently have a waiting list of firms and private individuals who wish to take advantage of our sturdy, spacious and secure boxes at Wagtail Storage, so we decided to apply for an expansion to cope with the high demand.”
Antique Dealer Gill Jessop, of Etheridge and Jessop, uses several containers at Wagtail Storage to keep her antiques in safe, dry condition. She said: “Wagtail has been an ideal place for us to store our stock, thanks to its location, ease of access and affordability compared to other, big name storage houses. I’d definitely recommend it to other local businesses looking to secure their stock.”
Wagtail Storage is conveniently located for companies based in North West Leicestershire, South Nottinghamshire and South Derbyshire thanks to easy access to the M1, A42 and A50 motorways.
Profits from Wagtail Storage go directly towards essential conservation work on Langley Priory’s historic Grade II* Listed buildings.
Featuring new business premises, a luxury spa and a prestigious wedding venue, The Langley Priory Estate is in a tranquil rural setting, with unrivalled links to Leicester, Derby and Nottingham, plus J24 of the M1 motorway and J14 of the A42 towards Birmingham.
