Paul Stewart, Deputy Managing Director of Goadsby Commercial, has announced that Steve Willington has just qualified as an AssocRICS building surveyor.
Paul commented “Steve joined Goadsby 4 years ago to run our CAD department as a graduate in Design Engineering. Initially, Steve served our clients in producing measured surveys, Land Registry compliant lease plans and planning application drawings.
“In 2016, Steve moved from our Southampton to Bournemouth offices to sit with our Chartered Building Surveyors having expressed a desire to widen his general building knowledge. Steve initially shadowed the Chartered staff and enrolled on the Building Surveying pathway of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Associate level qualification.
“Throughout the training period Steve has gained practical experience from Chartered level surveyors, whilst studying the competencies of RICS and this means Steve can now handle specification writing, project tendering, and, monitoring/supervision of small building and maintenance contracts. Steve also prepares leasehold property schedules of condition surveys and assists the Chartered staff with building re-instatement valuations and numerous landlords with dilapidation claim advice”.
Paul continues “Steve has always been a bright man and we will continue to support him as he now has ambitions to take the APC and become a Chartered Surveyor”.
