Peter Courtney, Chair of the Gold Awards Jury and Director at Lunson Mitchenall commented:
“The entries we received across all of this year’s categories demonstrate the creative and thoughtful approach our sector is taking to retail and leisure-led regeneration projects throughout the UK.
“The awards jury was sharply focused on identifying best-in-class projects which showcase how developers and landlords can add value to and create places which will stand the test of time. The most impressive entries were those that clearly demonstrated a genuinely innovative approach, proving that those who push boundaries, problem solve and take risks ultimately reap the rewards.”
Mark Bourgeois, 2016 Revo President added:
“Congratulations to all of this year’s winners – the calibre of all the winning projects have been very impressive and are a great demonstration of the sector’s contribution to placemaking in communities across the country.
“The introduction of the Public Sector Award for the first time year is a timely acknowledgement of the retail property sector’s increasing collaboration with local authorities to deliver retail-led regeneration and improve places where people live, work, and spend their leisure time.”

“Having been involved in this industry for many years it is a huge privilege to be taking up the role of President of Revo as it re-positions itself to be the organisation representing the whole retail property and placemaking community. My aim going forward is to help create an organisation that truly represents it’s very diverse and evolving customer base, recognising the fast pace of change and the need to adapt to create product and places that people want to visit and that everyone can access and enjoy.”
