Acting on behalf of, Lewis Innovative Investments, Goadsby have let Castle Court, 1 Coldharbour Business Park, Sherborne to Honeywell Aerospace.
The property is situated in Coldharbour Business Park on the eastern outskirts of the historic abbey town of Sherborne and comprises a two storey office building occupying a prominent position at the entrance of the business park. The net internal area extends to approximately 15,000 sq ft and the quoting rental was £7.50 per sq ft exclusive.
James Edwards, Associate Director, Business Space commented “This is a large office building for this area and we were marketing the space as individual suites, as we thought it would be more likely that there would be multiple lets. We are therefore naturally delighted to have let the whole building to one tenant, particularly of the stature of Honeywell Aerospace.”
The Building Consultancy Department of Goadsby were also jointly appointed by Lewis Investments and Honeywell Aerospace to monitor the £225,000 refurbishment and fit out contract. Their expertise meant that the project was a success from inception to completion and Graeme Harper, a building surveyor of Goadsby, commented “Our expertise in managing the contract for both the landlord and the tenant meant that the contract could be completed in the shortest time possible allowing for rental payments to the landlord to commence. The benefit to the tenant was that the business operations could commence sooner generating revenue.”
Alastair Warwick-Smith of Lewis Innovative Investments commented “ This is great news for our investors, we had confidence in the location and the building when we bought it, but the current market is very challenging and we were delighted that Goadsby were able to identify such a quality tenant in a relatively short period of time and oversee the refurbishment works to Honeywell’s complete satisfaction.”
