Acting on behalf of Linx Technologies, Barker Storey Matthews have negotiated the sale of Unit 1, 9 Burrel Road, in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.
The building comprises a detached light industrial/warehouse unit that was previously occupied by Linx and has been fully fitted out with first floor offices. The purchaser, Peer Group Plc, is a London based property investment and development company which proposes to strip out the mezzanine office accommodation and return the building to its original condition as a detached light industrial unit of around 7,000 sq ft with 2 storey office accommodation. The building will be fully refurbished in the process.
In addition, it is also intended to develop some small units on the surplus land to the rear which will be offered on a rental basis.
Alan Matthews of Barker Storey Matthews who handled the sale on behalf of Linx commented “This is the last of 4 units that we have sold for Linx following the company’s relocation to new premises on Compass Point. On completion of the refurbishment works the unit will be much less bespoke and will be offered to let on a new full repairing and insuring lease”.
