Europe’s leading engineering, environmental and design consultancy Sweco has been appointed to a multi-million pound Land Regeneration Consultancy framework for National Grid Property across Great Britain.
Sweco’s environment and landscape teams will provide regeneration consultancy services and the framework will run for a minimum of three years.
Sweco has been regenerating brownfield land for beneficial use with National Grid Property for over 20 years. Sweco has built an experienced, skilled and capable gasworks delivery team over this time with working knowledge of over 300 National Grid Property sites.
Sweco will deal with contaminated land assessment and remediation as part of the framework along with developer and infrastructure related services potentially giving Sweco the opportunity to involve teams from across the entire UK business.
Sweco is a recognised industry leader in the management of brownfield land assets, and the continuation of its work for National Grid Property further supports this position.

National Grid Property has a substantial portfolio of brownfield sites that it safely and responsibly regenerates in towns and cities across the UK. Since 2000, it has worked with responsible development partners to bring over 1,800 acres of former industrial land back to beneficial use.
In the UK, Sweco employs 800 people and has particular expertise in the fields of energy, transportation, environment, asset management, sustainable buildings and water.
It consults on major projects nationwide via its network of offices in Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Maidenhead, Manchester, Newcastle, Peterborough and Solihull.
