CBRE has expanded its Valuation and Advisory Services team in Birmingham.
Rob Robinson and Rosie Young have joined the firm from Jones Lang LaSalle as director and associate director respectively.
The pair will head up CBRE’s new Specialist Markets Valuation team in Birmingham.
Both Rob and Rosie specialise in providing valuation advice for non-standard property assets, including student accommodation, landmark visitor attractions, ports, airports, sports stadia and specialised industrial facilities. Clients include lenders, developers, investors and corporates.
Prior to joining CBRE, Rob led Jones Lang LaSalle’s national Specialist Valuation team from Birmingham for eight years.
Mike Stephens, senior director and head of CBRE’s Valuation and Advisory Services team in Birmingham, said: “Over the last 12 months CBRE has been focused on expanding its national Specialist Markets Valuation offering. Locally we have been looking for opportunities to introduce and grow this area of the business for a number of years.
“Rob and Rosie both have a wealth of experience in this specialist field so when the opportunity to bring them on board presented itself to us we were keen to secure their services. We have built a strong team in Birmingham and having a Specialist Markets Valuation team will complement our existing service offer and provide further value for our clients.”
Rob said: “Rosie and I have worked together for the last eight years, during which time we have established an excellent working relationship. We’re looking forward to using our experience and expertise in specialist valuation at CBRE as part of its growing Valuation and Advisory Services team.
“This is a new venture for the Birmingham office but we believe there are significant opportunities in the market, particularly in the area of student accommodation, to grow the business.”
