More than 20 new High Street premises have now been found and secured for Midshires Care Ltd, trading as Helping Hands, as part of an ongoing nationwide search and growth plan, helped by the Cardiff office of commercial property agents Bruton Knowles.
The company is currently on track to acquire a further ten plus premises in addition to the recent acquisition of a retail unit on Beulah Road, Cardiff.
Lisa Roberts from the firm’s Cardiff office said: “We have coordinated a nationwide effort through the Bruton Knowles office network to identify specific strategic locations across the country so that Helping Hands can support and develop its extended care proposition.”
Helping Hands, with its headquarters in Alcester, Warwickshire, is an accredited provider of live-in care to the private-pay market and the majority of NHS Trusts across England and Wales, and has been providing a combination of hourly rate and Live In care for young and older adults for over 25 years.
Lisa added: “It is a family business started in the 1980s by Mary Lee and now employs more than 2,500 people. The business is now headed up by her sons after Mary retired a number of years ago.
“Like many growth businesses it is important that the property portfolio keeps pace with the growth and is of the type and in the locations that help to support the main purpose of the business. Since its inception in 1989 the company has always received the maximum rating for healthcare provision.
“We are very pleased to have been appointed by Helping Hands to assist them in achieving their ambitious growth targets.
“Because we have a network of offices across the country, we are able to locate and source premises in towns and cities from Maidstone to Swansea, and Plymouth to Newcastle, as well as all points in between.”
